Our Doctors

DR Chaitra Hodegere (Male)

Dr Hodegere joined us as senior GP partner in 2019. He worked in the West Midlands Ambulance Service where he was the Medical Director providing medical leadership and clinical direction to the Trust Board. Dr Hodegere has a varied NHS career starting as an Anaethetist in 2004 before moving through various surgical specialities and emergency medicine before joining general practice. He has worked as a GP since 2012 and been in management in the primary care setting for the past 5 years. 

Dr Edward Pooley (Male)

Dr Pooley has previously worked as a partner and as a locum, and has joined the practice in 2020 as a salaried doctor. He enjoys all areas of medicine but has a special interest in the relationship between psychology and health, emergency medicine, and musculoskeletal medicine.

Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Mary specialises in minor illnesses and injuries and can assess, treat and prescribe medications if needed for these problems efficiently and safety. She has 10 years experience in this role and will continue to provide the very best care for the patients of JRB Healthcare.

Healthcare Assistant

Mandy supports the practice nurse and advanced nurse practitioner carry out daily tasks such as phlebotomy, blood pressure measurement, ECGS, ear syringing, diabetic foot checks and new patient checks.

Our Reception Team

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries.

Our Healthcare Team

The District Nurses attend patients who need nursing assistance at home; they will assess and discuss your individual needs with you and your carers during an initial visit, and arrange subsequent nursing care as required.

Community Matrons are senior nurses who work as part of the rehabilitation health and social care team, managing patients with long term conditions e.g. Diabetes, Heart Disease and COPD. Please ask your GP to refer you to a Community Matron if you think you may benefit from this service.

Community Midwives

Direct line: 9008787

Responsible for the care of mothers and babies during the antenatal and post natal period. Sessions are held weekly at the surgery.
